On June 19th, the General Administration of Customs released the "Information on Food Not Allowed to Enter the Country in May 2025". In May, a total of 428 batches of food were not allowed to enter the country in China, with a total weight of 6,305 tons. Among them, there were 103 batches of meat products, weighing 1,523 tons. All the above-mentioned food that was not allowed to enter the country has been legally handled at the ports, either by returning or destruction.
According to statistics, among the meat products that were not allowed to enter the country, there were 45 batches of beef products, weighing 225 tons; 8 batches of pork products, weighing 188 tons; and a total of 50 batches of chicken products, weighing 1,110 tons.
The reasons were mainly discrepancies in documents and certificates,不合格丙酸睾酮, and sensory quarantine failures, etc. It is worth noting that the number of unapproved meat products in May 2025 increased by 31.7% compared with April 2025. Among them, the United States accounted for the highest proportion, with a total of 87 batches. Frozen cooked chicken feet and frozen beef products were the hardest-hit areas.
